48 HOURS TO GO!!!

Ticket distribution is going well! Chelsea and Real Madrid have their tickets, Barcelona will be handed out at Friday's practice, and Bayern will be handled today. MAN U, I believe I have spoken to all of you to make plans.

DRIVING- Please make plans on your own, or with your teammates. Putting together a huge caravan could make us run late, so the best thing is to carpool amongst yourselves.
The 405 North to Avalon is the typical way to get there. Check a traffic site before you leave, and if there is a major problem on the 405, then you could consider the 5 North to the 91 West to Avalon.
PARKING- Try to enter the Parking lot from Avalon Blvd. Then go to your left at the Stadium if possible. This parking lot is the closest one to our seats.
HI-FIVE LINE- I will meet you and your daughters at the TOP OF SECTION 140 at 7:05.
A Galaxy representative will take us to the field at 7:15. DO NOT BE LATE. Myself and 3 other parents will chaperone the girls back to our seats after the ceremony.
SAFETY- The Home Depot Center is a state of the art facility, well lit, and very secure. Nevertheless, Each girl should have a "partner" that they stick with, and watch out for. Bathroom visits should be accompanied by an Adult.

Thanks everyone for getting signed and paid up! We are expecting our tickets from the Galaxy soon, and I will distribute them at the games on the 25th and the morning of the 1st.
Regarding the girls appearing on the field, we will need all participating League One players inside the stadium and at the (to be designated) meeting point at 7:10pm.

Any questions?

FAQ's number One

A couple of good questions, along with my response.

Dear Rod,
Thanks for the info. We did not attend the field trip last year and I was wondering how you did it. Did you all just meet there? What is the time?
Last year, we distributed tickets before the big day, so that people could make their own arrangements to get to the Game. For many of us who had not been there, we arranged a caravan of cars from San Clemente, This was kind of a stress-out due to the number of vehicles. :)
I will distribute the tickets in advance of the game, and plan a common meeting area in the Parking lot of the Home Depot Center for Tailgating. This way each team could organize their own caravan or parents can just meet us there. It is quite easy to get to, at the intersection of the 405 and the 91.

Once we are all there, our seats should be together in a big block. I intend to distribute the tickets with teams in mind, and putting the players together with their teammates.

Our arrival time at the Home Depot Center needs to be early enough for us to get the teams involved with the Opening Ceremonies. The game starts at 7:30 or 8, so we need to plan on being at the Field level tunnel by 7pm for the introductions. Add in tailgating, managing a large group, and I will formally suggest meeting at the Home Depot Center by 6pm if you are not tailgating. The game should be over by 10pm, and it is a 45 minute drive home.

Seating chart, Our seats will be in the yellow area.

Another great view from the Reserved Sideline.

As you can see, this is a special place to see a soccer game.

View from above the Goal Line, we usually sit along the sidelines!

View from the Reserved Sidelines section that we should be in. Great view of the Penalty area and Corner Kicks.

The Home Depot Center, A stadium built specifically for soccer, and the home of the LA Galaxy!
